Born on the last day of 1961 I spent my early days joyfully in the city of
Hall in Tyrol/Austria.
My highs chool I made at  the venerable "Gymnasium"
of the Franziscans in Hall
, where I was trained amongst others in
ancient Latin and Greek (those days I could translate Plato, Homer, Ovid and Caesar ...).

After those happy years I made my bachelor in Computer Sciences
at the Technical University in Vienna.

Thanks to my friend Lisa, the beauty of
Vienna and it's cultural life it was a great time.

Real excitement started when I went to Brazil for 18 months,
taking a one year post graduation course in Computer Sciences
at the University of Campinas/Sao Paulo (UNICAMP)
and working for CEMICAMP, a medical research institute.
Great country, great friends and a great university.

After returning from South America I started working in Austria.
First as a consultant and presales manager in the area of hospital information systems (IBM Paracelsus, SAP R/3 IS-H) ...

... and since November 1995 as the director of the
area Information and Communication Technology at
SOS Children's Villages International,
a worldwide active NGO.
